Ten Years After

Aschaffenburg, D, Colos-Saal
An era is coming to an end. The Woodstock legend Ten Years After will only be performing live four more times with the current line-up. For health reasons, the musicians have decided to stop playing together after ten years of touring and recording together. The band will play their last concerts at the end of November in Augsburg, Erfurt, Aschaffenburg and Leverkusen.
Founding members Chick Churchill (keyboards) and Ric Lee (drums), Marcus Bonfanti (vocals and guitar) and Colin Hodgkinson (bass) thank their fans for their years of loyalty. “Our time together over the last ten years has been very enriching. Not only musically, but also privately, we have forged a bond of mutual respect during this time,” summarizes Ric Lee.
For the future, Lee is thinking about reviving Ten Years After with a new line-up in early 2025, continuing the good work of the quartet and releasing a new album in the spring.
Ten Years After will not stand still even in their 53rd year of existence. Following their legendary Woodstock performance in 1969, the pioneers of the British Blues Invasion went on to gain international fame, playing some the world’s largest venues (Madison Square Garden New York, Budokan Tokyo, The Royal Albert Hall London Jahrunderhalle Frankfurt and many others) throughout the decades, and released an only recently released an all new studio album ("A Sting in the Tale", 2017). Now in their current incarnation, they are promoting their latest live recording, entitled "Naturally Live".
The dozen songs contained are testament to the quartet's sheer agelessness, showcasing alongside founder members Chick Churchill (keyboards) and Ric Lee (drums) youngster Marcus Bonfanti (vocals and guitar) and bass master Colin Hodgkinson (Spencer Davis, Alexis Korner, Back Door, Peter Green, John Lord, Charlie Watts, Whitesnake, Chris Rea, The British Blues Quintett, Konstantin Wecker, Electric Blues Duo). It is this very line-up that shines brillantly now on the "Cricklewood Green 50th Anniversary Tour"
While the veterans keep celebrating more than half a century on the road, classics such as "Love Like A Man", "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", "The Hobbit", "One Of These Days" and "Choo Choo Mama" get their live treatment just as long-standing fan favorites like "Gonna Run", "Nowhere To Run", "I Say Yeah”, "Hear Me Calling” or "I’d Love To Change The World”, not to mention various surprises and tracks of recent date.
As part of the show, Ten Years After will also be playing their seminal album "Cricklewood Green" in its entirety to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release. With their youthful freshness, these stalwarts are cementing their iconic reputation as one of the longest-standing and important groups from the earliest days of loud, soulful rock music - Definitely Not To Be Missed
